RESOLUTION tON NO._ .. 76-150
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $9,000.00 FROM THE
CONTINGENCY FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVID-
ING SUPPORT ?OR GOLDEN GLOVES TO BE COORDIN-
ATED THROUGH THE COCONUT GROVE CARES, INC.
WHEREAS, the Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament will
provide recreational opportunities for citizens of the City
of Miami; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami will benefit greatly through
the national publicity resulting from the holding of the Golden
Gloves Tournament in the City; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the host City provide
a total of $10,000.00 in supporting funds in order to have the
Golden Gloves Tournament held in the host City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has already allocated
$1,000.00 for that purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The sum of Nine Thousand ($9,000.00)
Dollars is hereby allocated from the Contingency Fund for the
purpose of providing support for Golden Gloves to be coordinated
through the Coconut Grove Cares, Inc.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10 day of FEBRUARY
1976.
