FOR GROUP 2 - 50 PAIRS OF BOOTS AT A TOTAL COST $1,225; BID FROM BISCAYNE FIRE EQUIPMENT CO. FOR GROUP 3 - 50 HELMETS AT A TOTAL COST OF $937.50; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS FOR GROUP 1 AND ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE 1975-76 FIRE DEPARTMENT FISCAL YEAR BUDGET FOR GOUP 2 AND GROUP 3 ITEMS. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 15, 1975 for furnishing Bunker Equipment Items for the Fire Department, as required; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 22 potential suppliers and 5 bids were received as follows: Can Guard Assoc. "INCU.MENT INDEX ITEM NO. `=2P to be purchased under Federal Revenue Sharing Funds and the boots and helmets are to be funded from the 1975-76 Fire Department Fiscal Year Budget; and WHEREAS, the Bunker Equipment Items are necessary to replace damaged and worn-out equipment and furnish equipment for the new fireman; and CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF FEB•10 itElAst+Ki; ,,... ,,...,..•.,.•.:..•�•E WINK WHEREAS, the rite Department recommends that the bid received from J•anesvi1le Apparel Co. for furnishing Group 1 - 600 coats at a total cost of $36,630 and 600 pants at a total cost of $22,650; the bid received from Goodall Rubber Co. for furnishing Group 2 - 50 pairs of boots•at a total cost of $1,225 and the bid received from Biscayne Fire Equipment Co. for furnishing Group 3 - 50 helmets at a total cost of $937.50 be accepted as they are the most advantageous bids to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following bids for furnishing the Fire Department for a period of one year from January 1, 1976 through December 31, 1976 with Bunker Equipment Items, as required, be and the same are hereby accepted: GROUP 1 JANESVILLE APPAREL CO. 600 coats - $61.05 each $36,630 600 pants - $37.75 each $22,650 TOTAL OF GROUP 1 $59,280 GROUP 2 GOODALL RUBBER CO. 50 pairs of boots - $24.50 per pair "SUPPORTIVE DOCUMENTS FOLLOW" TOTAL OF GROUP 2 $1,225 GROUP 3 BISCAYNE FIRE EQUIPMENT CO. 50 helmets - $18.75 each TOTAL OF GROUP 3 $937.50 2 Section 2. The funds for Group 1 items are to be allocated from Federal Revenue Sharing funds and the funds for Group 2 and Group 3 items are to be allocated froth the 1975-76 Fire Department Fiscal Year Budget.
