Approximately 40 workers will be hired for about one year. The City's consultants for this project, Edward D. Stone and Associates, are preparing the necessary drawings to begin this work by the end of February. All of the proposed park improve- ments will take place in the area near Biscayne Boulevard. The City has earmarked $700, 000 from. the "Parks for People" Bonds to be added to the Federal Grant to accomplish as much of this phase of the project as our consultants determine is practical. This EDA project will require weekly progress reports to Washington, D. C. On December 19, 1975, the City Commission adopted Motion 75-1193. It is now appropriate for the City Commission to adopt a resolution confirming the action of the City Commission accepting the Economic Development Act Grant in the amount of $300, 000.
