A RESOLUTION CALLING AND MAKING PROVISION
FOR A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD MARCH 9, 1976 IN T1IE CITY 01' MIAMI,
FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING
TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI FOR THEIR APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL
A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE FOLLOW-
ING FORMt
(h) SALARIES OF COMMISSION. -
EFFECTIVE APRIL 1. 1976 THERE SHALL
BE PAID TO THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA BY THE CITY
OF MIAMI AS COMPENSATION, THE SUM Of'
S15,000 PER YEAR FOR EACH COMMISSION-
ER, PAYABLE MONTHLY IN TWELVE EQUAL

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA*
Section 1. That a special municipal election is hereby
called and directed to be held on March 9, 1976 in the City of
Miami, Florida, at the polling places in the election precincts
designated by Metropolitan Dade County, from 7:Q() o'clock A. M.
until 7s00 o'clock A. M., Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, the

SALARIES TO BE PAID TO THE MAYOR
AND CITY COMMISSIONERS TO $15,000
ANNUALLY FOR THE COMMISSIONERS AND
$18,000 ANNUALLY FOR THE MAYOR,
WITH SAID INCREASES BECOMING EFFEC-
TIVE APRIL 1, 1976?
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to publish once in the Miami Herald and once in
the Miami News, newspapers of general circulation published
in the City of Miami, a notice of said special municipal election
in substantially the following form, to wit:
NOTICE OF SPECIAL RUNIC/PAL ELECTION, CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, THE 9TH DAY OF MARC!!,
1976, PURSUANT TO CITY ORDINANCES, FOR THE
APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL OF THE FOLLOWING
QUESTIONs
SHALL SECTION 4 (h) OF THE CHARTER
OF THE CITY OP MIAMI SE AMENDED TO
PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN THE
SALARIES TO DE PAID TO THE MAYOR
AND CITY COMMISSIONERS TO $15 , 000
ANNUALLY FOR THE COMMISSIONERS AND
$18,000 ANNUALLY FOR THE MAYOR,
WITH SAID INCREASES BECOMING MEC-
