RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM ORDINANCE
NO. 6871, ARTICLE XXVIII, SECTION 1(3)(b), TO
PERMIT COMPLETION OF REMODELING OF A NON-
CONFORMING STRUCTURE EXCEEDING 2O`;:: OF THE
ASSESSED VALUE ON LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK h;
KING PARK (5 -112) , BEING 2 91 1 LUCAYA STREET,
AS SHOWN ON SURVEY IN FILE; ZONED R-1 (ONE
FAMILY).
WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board, at its meeting of
October 3, 1977, Item #4, following an advertised hearing, adopted
Resolution No. ZB 165-77 by a 6 to 1 vote denying a variance as
hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has taken an appeal to the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, notwithstanding the denial of the Zoning Board,
the City Commission, after careful consideration and due delibera-
tion of this matter, finds that due to peculiar circumstances
affecting this parcel of land, practical difficulties and unneces-
sary hardship would impair the right to the reasonable use of the
property without the variance granted as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A variance from Ordinance No. 6871, Article
XXVIII, Section 1(3)(b), to permit completion of remodeling of a
non -conforming structure exceeding 20% of the assessed value on
Lots 8 and 9, Block 6; KING PARK (5-112), being 2911 Lucaya Street,
as shown on survey in file; zoned R-1 (One Fancily), be and the
same is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this day of
1977.
