HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-77-0971RFC/rb 12/15/77 RESOLUTION NO.` ' 7 - 9 7 1 A RESOLUTION MAKING CERTAIN ALLOCATIONS OF FUNDS TO THE VARIOUS PRIVATE NONPROFIT AGENCIES WHICH ARE CURRENTLY RECEIVING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AND MAI<ING THOSE ALLOCA- TIONS CHARGEABLE TO T1HE APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1977-78. WHEREAS, the City Commission approved Ordinance No. , the Fiscal Year 1977-78 Annual Appropriations Ordinance, on December 15, 1977, which included the amount of $110,653.95 from Federal Revenue Sharing monies to be used to fund various social services programs; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has not yet determined which agencies will be funded for the balance of Fiscal Year 1977-78; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Effective December 1, 1977, the following amounts are hereby allocated for current monthly expenses of the below -listed agencies until the selection of agencies to be funded for the balance of Fiscal Year 1977-78. These amounts are chargeable to the appropriations for the Fiscal Year 1977-78. The following monthly allocations are to continue for the operation of the Federal Revenue Sharing Agencies until the aforesaid final selection of "nni 1 X ;�- agencies to be funded is made. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING ALLOCATION OF FUNDS EROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS FOR SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRA:IS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ?TANAGER TO ENTER INTO APPROPRIATE AGREEMENTS WITH APPROVED SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES LISTED IN THE ATTACHED SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, on December 13, 1977, the City Commission approved an allocation of Federal Revenue Sharing for Social Services funding of $1,043,053 by passage of Ordinance No: 77- ; and WHEREAS, the unexpended Federal Revenue Sharing account balance of $162,915.03 for fiscal year 1976-77 from the private nonprofit agencies, has been identified as a source of additional funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The sum of $1,205,968.03 is hereby allocated from available Federal. Revenue Sharing funds of those Social Service categories as listed below for the period of December 1, 1977, and ending October 31, 1978: Category Amount Health Programs $190,100.00 Hot Meal irograms 213,515.10 Day Care Programs 380,650.00 Employment 22,916.65 Recreation 292,000.00 Office of Community Affairs 79,741.77 Agency 1/12 Phase Out Funds 21,971.61 Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with Social Service Agencies from categories an COMMISSION 1 MEETING OF set forth in Section 1 hereof that were recommended to and approved by the City Commission, as appearing in the attached Schedule.
