WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received November 11, 1977 for the Furnishing of padded wall covering .in the gymnasium for the Department of Police. WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to eighteen potential suppliers and four bids were received; and WHEREAS, Funds for this purchase are available in the Second Dollar - Police Training Fund; and WHEREAS, this material will be used by the Department of Police for the purpose of protecting employees against injury when engaged in physical training and to protect the walls from damage; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Police recommend that the bid received from Keller's Custom Upholstering be accepted as Lhe most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, IULREI URL, 0E. II RESOLVED BY THL CU1i1llSSION OF THE CITY OF 1.1IAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The November 11, 1977 bid of Keller's Custom Upholstering for furnishing padded wall covering in the gymnasium at a total cost of $10,100.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the Second Dollar -Police Training Fund of the Department of Police. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this material.
