WHEREAS, pursuant Lo public notice, sealed bids were received
October 26, 1977 for the furnishing or fertilizer for the Department of
Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty-six potential suppliers
and six bids were received; and
WH[lfl A , funds for this purchase are available in the 1977-1978
Fiscal Year Budget; and
WHEREAS, this material will be used by the Department of Parks and
Recreation for the purpose of maintaining the P1elrec:;e and Miami Springs Golf
Courses; and
0HFRLAS, the City (Manager and the Department of Parks and Rec-
reation recommend that the bi_d, received from 0. 11. Scott & Sons, Hector
Turf & Garden, Inc., Superior Fertilizer & Chemical Co., and W. R. Grace
& Co. be accepted as the most advantageous bids

Tabulation
Pursuant to Public `otice, sealed bids were received
October 26, 1977 for furnishing fertilizer for the
Department of Parks and Recreation.
Invitations verc mailed to twenty -:six potential
suppliers and L;ix bith; verc received ate per the
attached tabulation.
Fund:; for this purchase are to be allocated from the
1977-1970 1 iscal Year 1?udr)eL.
This is a purchase for the maintenance and upkeep of
the rlclree sc and Miami Springs Golf CnnrGe:;. The
material gill be used to fertilize the greens, tees,
and the fai.ruati :;.
It is recommended that the award be made and a resolu-
tion be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid
as received from 0. M. Scott `ion:; in the amount of
$13,572.110, (lector turf & Garden, Inc. in the amount
of $1,991.25, 'iuperior I ertilizrr <, Chemical Co. in
the amount of $1,705.1)0 and W. U. Grace N Co. in the
amount of $7.8411.00 for furnishing fe'rtili/er for the
Department of Parks and Recreation at a total cost of
$25,108.25.
