WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
November 21, 1977 for the furnishing of readi-niix concrete, as required,
on a contract basis for one year from date of award for the Department of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to nineteen potential suppliers
and six bids were received; and
WHEREAS, this material will be used by the Department of Public
Works for the purpose of repairing the :sidewalks and street;; throughout the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public Works
recommend that tlic bid received from Rinker Materials Corporation be accepted
as the most advantageous bid to the City;

MIAf1I, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The November 21, 1977 bid of Rinker Materials Corpora-
tion for furnishing readi-mix concrete, as required, on a contrz.;ct basis,
for one year from date of award at a base price of $23.55 per cubic yard
at an approximate total cosi of $87,000.00 is hereby accepted with funds
hereby allocated from the 1977-1978 Fiscal Year Budget of the Department
of Public Works, upon the adoption thereof.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct
the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Orders for this material.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this s 15 day of PECEMBER 1977.

bid as received from Rinker Materials Corp. for fur-
nishing Reudi-Mix Concrete on a contract basis for
one year from date of uuurd at a base price of $23.55
per cubic yard and an approximate total cost of

The Department of Public_ Works concurs with this
recommendation.
