A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF GASTON LANDSCAPE
COMPANY, INC. IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $17,200
FOR THE CHARLES TERRACE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TREE
PLANTING (2ND B I f)D ING) : ALLOCATING SAID AMOUNT FROM
THE FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUND
(3RD YEAR) ; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF
$1,892 TO COVER THE COST OF 1'ROlE( EXPENSE; ALSO
ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUND THE AMOUNT OF $344 TO COVER
THE COST OF SUCH ITE'•1S AS ADVERTISING, TESTING
LABORATORIE•.S,AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received November 22, 1977
for the CHARLES TERRACE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TREE PLANTING
(2ND BIDDING); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the $17,200 bid
of Gaston Landscape Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid
and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, funds for this project are available from the
Federal Community Development Block Grant Fund (3rd Year);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLMRIDA:
Section 1. The November 22, 1977 bid of Gaston Landscape
Company, Inc.
in the proposed amount of $17,200 for the project
entitled CHARLES TERRACE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TREE PLANTING
(2ND BIDDING), namely, Base
Bid of Proposal, based on unit price,
is hereby accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $17,200 is hereby allocated
from the Federal Community Development Block Grant Fund (3rd Year)
to cover the cost of the said contract.
Section 3. The amount of $1,892 is hereby allocated from
the aforesaid Fund to cover the cost of the Project Expense.
Section 4. The amount of $344 is hereby allocated from
the aforesaid
Fund to cover the cost of such items as advertising,
testing laboratories,and postage.
