RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE
IN LIEU OF CONDEMNATION, FOUR LOTS COMPRISED OF 24,200
SQ. FT. , M/L, WITH A DUPLEX APARTiMENT ON ONE LOT WHICH
IS COMPRISED OF 1,058 SQ. FT., SAID PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 69 NORTHEAST 62 STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE SUM
OF SIXTY TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY NINE DOLLARS
AND SEVENTY EIGHT CENTS ($62,559.78), ANI) ALLOCATING
SIXTY THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS AND NO
CENTS ($63,560.00) FROM THE FIRE FIGHTING, FIRE PREVEN-
TION AND RESCUE FACILITY BOND FUNDS TO COVER THE COST
OF ACQUISITION OF FEE SIMPLE 'TITLE AND OTHER COSTS IN-
CIDENTAL TO 'I'IIE ACQUISITION.
WHEREAS, the property located at 69 Northeast 62nd Street, Miami,
Florida, proposed to be acquired for Fire Station No, 9; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department has approved the acquisition of this
property to provide Fire Station No. 9, and concurs with the recommendation to
acquire this parcel; and
WHEREAS, funds from Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue
Facility Bonds, further identified by Paragraph B, Subparagraph 2 of the General
Obligation Bond Appropriation are available to acquire said property; and
WHEREAS, the owner of the property has by Agreement dated the
12th day of October, 1977, offered to convey fee simple title to this property
to the City of Miami, Florida, for the ne;otiated price of Sixty Thousand
($60,000.00) Dollars, plus the Sanitary Sewer Lien of $2,559.,78, for a total
price of Sixty Two Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Nine Dollars and Seventy -Eight
Cents ($62,559.78); and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City of Miami,
Florida, to acquire the property at this rime through purchase in lieu of
condemnation;
NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to purchase the property located at 69 Northeast 62nd Street, Miami,
Florida, legally described as:
Lot 8 Less So. 10 Ft. to City
Lots 15 to 17 Included
Lot 18 Less So. 10 Ft. to.City
All in Block 5
INGLEW00D GARDENS, PB 13-57
for Fire Station No. 9.
Section 2. The sum of Sixty Three Five Hundred Sixty ($63,560.00)
Dollars be and it is hereby allocated from the Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention &
Rescue Facility Bond Fund to cover the cost of acquisition of fee simple title
to this property, and other costs incidental to this acquisition.

Acquisition of Land for
Fire Station No. 9

Purchase
Per the authorization by memorandum dated August 17, 1977, from Chief H.W. Brice,
Acting Director, Department of Fire, three (3) parcels of property were to be
acquired for a new Fire Station No. 9, to be erected on the North side of
Northeast 62nd Street, between Northeast First Avenue and Northeast Miami Place,
Miami, Florida.
This proposed acquisition is the second of the three parcels involved. The
pertinent facts of this acquisition are as follows: -
Appraiser
Nineteen (19) N.A.I. Appraisers were requested to bid and
three (3) bid proposals were received.
Property Consultants, Inc., submitted the lowest fee of
$3,040.00, and was selected to appraise the property for
the three new Fire Stations - Numbers 4, 9, and 14.
Funds have been allocated for the payment of the fee by
prior action, and is not part of the accompanying Resolu-
tion.

$50,000.00
