FOR FURNISHING UNIFORMS AS NEEDED ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF AWARD FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE AT A PROPOSED COST OF $128,472.55, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED TABULA- TION; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE 1977-78 FISCAL YEAR ((5LJpr)(- �11CBUDGET; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PUR- CHASING AGENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS, AS NEEDED. �.. r• 1 !t 1� EN1 S F=:;LLOW" WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received October 12, 1977 for the furnishing of uniforms, as needed, on a contract basis for one year from date of award for the Depart- ment of Police; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 30 potential suppliers and 2 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1977-78 Fiscal Year Budget; and WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the Department of Police for the purpose of furnishing department uniforms to all sworn personnel as well as selected personnel throughout the depart- ment; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Police recommend that the bid received from Jules Bros. Uniforms, Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: "DOCUMENT, I DEX Section 1. Uniform, Inc. for furnishing uniforms, as needed, on a contract basis for one year from the date of award at a proposed cost of $128,472.55, in accordance with the tabulation attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted, uith funds hereby allocated from the 1977-78 Fiscal Year Budget of the Department of Police. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Orders for this material as needed.
