A RESOLUTION CLOSING A PORTION OF 21AIN
HIGHWAY TO THROUGH TRAFFIC ON DECEMBER 30,
1977, BETWEEN 6:00 PM AND 3:30 PM, UPON THE
ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE POLICE AND FIRE
DEPARTMENTS, TO EFFECUATE SAFE PEDESTRIAN
PASSAGE DURING THE CELEBRATION OF THE GRAND
OPENING OF THE PLAYERS' STATE THEATER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMIISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Main Highway is hereby closed to through
traffic on December 30, 1977, between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM,
from its intersection with Charles Avenue to a point 200 feet
North on said Main Highway, extending from the Centerline North, -
westerly to the curb line of said Main Highway.
Section 2. The aforesaid closure is authorized,
subject to issuance of permits by the Police and Fire Departments,
in order to effectuate safe pedestrian passage during the celebra-
tion of the Grand Opening of the Players' State Theater.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15 day of DECEMBER
1977.
