AmendMent to Ord 8942 tarts and
greens Pees
nrrtntHtk9:
On October 26, 1977, the City Commission considered an Ordinance raiding
carts and greens fees at City Golf Courses. This Ordinance was intended
to go into effect before December 1, 19771 therefore, the ordinance was
titled in such a manner as to dispense with a second reading and to
thereby make the effective elate of the ordinance 30 days from October
26. Although the City Attorney read the ordinance exactly as the written
title shows, the Mayor read aloud from the Agenda that this ordinance
was a first reading.. The City Cleric points out that the public record
now shows a contradiction as to what was intended in the reading of this
ordinance.
In order to clarify the public record, it is requested that the City
Commission adopt, by motion, a clarification of the public record con-
cerning Item No. 7 on the Commission Meeting Agenda of October 26, 1977.
The Suggested Motion is:
...that the public record show that the City of Miami
Commission intended to and did approve an amendment to
Ordinance No. 8542, establishing new fees for tarts and
greens fees at city golf courses, effective December 1,
1977, and said ordinance was passed by a vote of no less
than 4/5ths of the City Commission, dispensing with the
requirement of reading of the same on two separate days."
