RESOLUTION NO. 77-898
A RESOLUTION ELECTING AND REAPPOINTING
RALPH G. ONGIE AS CITY CLERK OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO HOLD OFFICE UNTIL
THE FIRST MEETING FOLLOWING THE NEXT
REGULAR CITY ELECTION AS PROVIDED FOR
IN THE CITY CHARTER, AND FIXING THE SALARY
OF SAID REAPPOINTEE.
WHEREAS, Section 4(e) of the City Charter provides
the City Commission shall elect a clerk for the City of
Miami; and
WHEREAS, in September, 1976, RALPH G. ONGIE was
elected and appointed as City Clerk of the City of Miami to
serve the unexpired term of HOUSTON D. SOUTHERN; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission is obligated to elect
and appoint a city clerk to hold office until the first meeting
following the next regular City election as provided for in the
City Charter; and
WHEREAS, RALPH G. ONGIE has competently performed
his duties in a capable and professional manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. RALPH G. ONGIE is hereby elected and
reappointed as City Clerk of the City of Miami, at an annual
salary of $30,800 and shall hold office until the first
meeting following the next regular City election as provided
for in the City Charter.
