CLERK ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: GEORGE F , KNOX, JR. CITY ATTY 87 2 4 t , tI.W.it. :_c:1uD,: Joseph R. Grassie City Manager Howard V. Gary, Director Department of Management Services November 2, 1977 Amendment to Summary Grant Appropriations Ordinance (2) The City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8719 on October 26, 1977 appro- priating grant funds anticipated by the City during fiscal year 1977-78 and corresponding City matching funds. I indicated in the memorandum of transmittal that as further information becomes available, the summary ordinance would be amended. In that way, all grants for which the City has reasonable certainty about the amounts it is to receive will be appropriated in one ordinance plus its subse- quent amendments. The attached proposed ordinance is to amend Ordinance No. 8719 to incor- porate a change in a grant title, to reflect a new source of revenue for a City cash match, to provide for increased revenues for two grants, and to estabiiTh new appropriations for an additional seven (7) grants. You should be ,iware that one of those grants--$45,000 for the Child Day Care Program, approved by the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs--rec-uires a City cash match of $45,000. That cash match would come from the fiscal year 197-78 Federal Revenue Sharina "Social Services" allotment ,and is anticipated as such in the Citizen Services plan. The City Commission adopted Resolution No. 77-707 on October 13, 1077 authori- zing the City :tanager to accept the grant. A copy of that Resolution is attached. It should be noted that the allocation of "Social Services" funds as a whole has not yet been approved.
