The provisions of the City Charter require that the City
Commission elect. the City Manager, City Clerk and City
Attorney. The term of the City Manager is indefinite and,
therefore, no resolution is required at this time to fill
this office (Section 1.5, City Charter).
I have prepared for your consideration the required resolutions
electing and reappointing Ralph G. Ongi.e. as City Clerk, and
myself, as City Attorney, to heed office until the first meeting
following the next regular City election (Sections 4 and 21, City
Charter)
I would respectfully r.equet that the Commission increase my
salary from $ 2,000 per annum;, to ''17,000, with a personal
expense allowance of $2,500; that these adjustments would
become effective upon the adoption of the budget for Fiscal
Year 1977-78.
