The grants are to be appropriated into Trust and Agency Funds for two reasons: (1) The Trust and Agency Funds provide mechanisms to accommo- date particular accounting restrictions required by grantor agencies, and (2) many of the grant periods do not coincide with the City's fiscal years, and Trust and Agency Funds are not limited to fiscal year duration. As further information becomes available regarding other grants to be anticipated, this prol.osed ordinance will be amended to include those amounts.
