Grassie City Manager 'it tit Qct ! 7 AM _J el i. 1io yard, Director Department of Parks and Recreation October 13, 1977 North - South Golf Tournament The North - South Golf Tournament is scheduled for February 7th through February 11, 1978, at the City of Miami Country Club Golf Course. This is the only tournament where greens fees have been waived or reduced because of the length of time this tournament has been scheduled in Miami and the prestige that it carries. We are, therefore, recommending that the greens fees be $3. 00 per player, per round, and that electric carts be mandated. The tournament director is continuing the policy of awarding scholarships to deserving, young students interested in pursuing a professional career. rvlany visitors, along with over 150 players visit Miami for this annual tournament. Our participation has helped in increasing play by both residents and tourists who are associated with this event. Attached is a proposed resolution recommending the partial waiver of fees.
