A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO: ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM
THE PARKS FOR PEOPLE BOND PROGRAM; AUTIIORI7_ING 1111 CITY
MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE
ORDERS FOR THIS EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received
t 1, 1977, for furnishing irrigation supplies for the Department of
parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirty-eight potential,
suppliers and ten bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purpose are available from the Parks
Or People Bond Program; and
WHEREAS, these supplies will be used by the Department of Parks.:
`and Recreation for the purpose of installing an irrigation system in
Wainwright Parks; and
WHEREAS,the City Manager and the Department of Parks and Recreation
recommend that the bids received from State Supply Company, Dade Broward
Supply Company, A & B Pipe and Supply Company, Lehaman Pipe and Plumbing
Supply Inc., Peninsular Supply Company and DeBra Turf and Industrial Equipment
Company be accepted as the most advantageous bids to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following bids of August 1, 1977 for furnishing
irrigation supplies for the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby
accepted with funds hereby allocated from the Parks for People Bond Program:
