VIROIWIA KEY FILL = PHASE III -
1977 Resolution Allocating
.Etihds & Awarding Contract
bids were received September 20, 1977 to excavate approx.-
imately 50,000 cubic yards of fill material at the norther-
.1;yend of Virginia Key, hauling and stockpiling this
material at the City Dump site. This work is being; done
in order to comply with the regulations for closing; the
Cit:t Dump.
The estimated cost for this work was $38,000.00. This was
based on previous bids received for similar work. At the
time the prior contracts were awarded there were stockpiles
.of' loose material available at the north end of Virginia
_Key. These,however, er have been exhausted.
that .the reason for the increase in bid price for the
present contract 13 due to the fact that the fill material
to be hauled must be excavated.
As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $65,500. 00 bid
the Lowell l Dunn Company lowest responsible bid
