Park Dedications
Under the Parks for People Bond Program some new
parks have recently been completed and additions made
to existing parks.
At Morningside Park, 750 N. E. 55 Terrace, new tennis
courts, Pro -Shop and lighting have been added to existing
courts and this is now operating as our third tennis center.
The Paul S. Walker Mini Park, at 46 West Flagrler Street,
has been completed and this is the first downtown mini park
in Miami.
The Mini Park at S. W. 8 Street and 15 Avenue has been
opened for some time and is now better known as Domino
Park.
None of these parks have been officially dedicated and the
following dedication dates are offered for your consideration:
September 20, Commission date, may be appropriate
for dedication of Morningside Park, at S:00 P. M.
Paul S. Walker Mini Park dedication could be
conducted on Thursday, October 13, which is a
tentative Commission date, at 12:00 P.M. during
Commission lunchbrcak.
Finally, on October 27, which is another tentative
Commission date, Domino Park could be dedicated
during lunchbreak.
