Dear Mr. Grassie:
In light of the City Commission's action of August 2, 1977
when it ordered collective bargaining to commence between
the city and the Sanitation Employees Association, we are
hereby requesting permission to be placed on the agenda at
the next Commission meeting for the purpose of asking for
voluntary recognition of AFSCME Local 654 for its tradi-
tional bargaining unit. We are invoking Section 307(1)(b)
of Chapter 447 Florida Statutes as the basis of re -recogni-
tion.
Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
