fit, the ioyal General employees of the City of Miami, do hereby respectfully
petition the Honorable Mayor and the Commissioners of the City of Miami as
follows:
That all General Employees, Classified and Non -Classified,
who were eligible on October 1, 1976 for the Cost of Living
increase, in the amount of three and one-half per cent, be
paid as originally promised before September 30, 1977, re-
troactive to October 1, 1976.
WC, the Petitioners, base our request on the following:
1. Raises can be given if both parties are in agreement, even if no
contract is signed.
2. Funds can be found, even if the hiring and salary increase of
administrative and management personnel be forgone.
. Above a11, the increase in the Cost of Living over the past nine
months has already drastically affected General Employees, and
equal treatment should he afforded them as has already been
afforded Uniformed Personnel, Management and Administrative
Employees.
. Faith in the promises of the Honorable Mayor and Commissioners.
