Gentlemen:
The Big Five Club in an effort to continue serving our community
has been involved in a rowing program for a number of years and now
we are faced with the need of finding a suitable site for our
rowing club.
We are, therefore, respectfully requesting that the City of Miami
provide our Club with a site at the Marine Stadium to be developed
into a first class rowing program.
Mr. Fernando Puig has been in contact with City Manager Mr. J.R.
Grassie and Mr. Paredes in order to identify a suitable site.
Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated as we
continue to work together in making Miami a first rate City in
the sport of rowing.
Very truly yours,
BIG FIVE CLUB, INC.

Proposed Lease Area to
#ig Five Rowing Club
Legal Description, Aerial Phot,
_.____.and Prints ______
As per instructions attached is a print of the Marine Stadium area,
legal description and aerial photo showing location of proposed
lease area adjacent to the International Oceanographic Foundation.
This area is designated as Parcel No. 4 of areas leased around the
Marine Stadium.
Before approval of this lease area can be given certain alterations
and improvements must be made to the surrounding area listed as
follows:
The existing access road serving the Marine Stadium, which currently
runs through the proposed lease area, will have to be relocated
around the northwesterly and northeasterly side of the area occupied
by Southern Bell with a gate installed in the existing security fence
as shown on the attached plan. This road would consist of an 8-inch
limerock base and sand and oil surface. We will also require you to
construct a new gate for entry to the pump station area. A cost
estimate of this proposed work is attached.
We also call your attention to the two utility easements in your
proposed lease area. No buildings or permanent -type structures will
be permitted in these areas.
