WHEREAS, The State of Florida Department of Trans- portation requires an easement for the construction and main- tenance of a rampway on City of Miami property to be used in conjunction with a proposed pedestrian walkway across the 1-95 Expressway and N.W. 65th Street; and WHEREAS, the area of City of Miami property required is located within a portion of the northwest sector of Edison Center Park as described in attached drawing; and WHEREAS, the City has determined from investigation that the proposed structure will not interfere with, or be detrimental to, the use by the public of the aforesaid park's recreational activities; and WHEREAS, it is now in order for the City Commission to •*/ LL CITY CF MIAMI, FLORIDA: • ITEM NO.) Parkes Acting Director Department of Public Wok September 8, 1977 Central Resolution Accepting Granting Easement to D.O.T. for Edison Park Pedestrian Walkway The Florida Department of Transportation has proposed to construct a pedestrian overpass across the I-95 Expressway and N.W. 65th Street. A portion of the lands involved and necessary to the project is owned by the City of Miami. On behalf of The State of Florida Department of Transportation, the City of Miami has been requested to grant an easement located at the northwesterly sector of the City of Miami Edison Center Park for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a rampway for the proposed overpass. The Department of Public Works has determined from investigation that it will not interfere with, or be detrimental to the use of, the said park recreational facilities. It is now in order for the City Commission to agree to the granting of the aforesaid easement (copy and drawing attached).
