A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRANAM ELECTRIC COMPANY IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $213,530 FOR THE GRAND AVENUE PARK - SPORTS FIELDS LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL; WITH FUNDS THEREFOR PROGRAMMED AND BUDGETED UNDER THE "COMMUNITY DEVELODMENT PROGRAM" FOR THE, CONTRACT, FOR PROJECT EXPENSE AND INCIDENTAL EXPENSES; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received July 1, 1977 for the GRAND AVENUE PARK- SPOPL'"S FIELDS LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL; and the City Manager reports the $213,350 bid of Branam Electric Company is the lowest responsible bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and WHEREAS, funds have been programmed and budgeted under the "Community Development Program" for the proposed amount of the contract, for Project expense, and for such items as advertising, testing laboratories and postage; NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The July 18, 1977 bid of Branam Electric WHEREAS, Company in the proposed amount of $213,530 GRAND AVENUE PARK - SPORTS FIELDS LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL, namely Base Bid of Proposal, based on lump sum bid is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 2. The amount of $213,350 is hereby programmed from funds to be received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through its obligation to pay the City of Miami through the City's Community Development Program to cover the cost of the " D'OCLavt�I for the project entitled said contract.$ Section 3, The amount of $23,488.30 here r .ed through the "Community Development Program" to cover the cost of Project Expense and is also hereby authorized. Section 4.
