OF $10,000 FROM THE HTIHWAY BOND FUND FOR PRELIMINARY
EXPENSE.
'..WHEREAS, the Coral Way area between S.W.12 Avenue andSW .
22 Avenue is heavily traveled and has developed into an
office) restaurant, apartment and shopping area; and

WHEREAS, the side parkways and pavement areas are deteriorated

and in need of improvement with proper drainage; and
WHEREAS, renovation of side
gutters and curbing, landscaping and drainage facilities;
parkways will include new paVement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY,
F MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as S.W. 22 STREET
HIGHWAY. IMPROVEMENT - PHASE TIT - H1R shall be made under
Section 56 of the Charter of The City of Miami as amended, located
on S.W. 22 StrePt (Coral Wav) between S.W. 12 and 3.W. 22 Avenues.
Section 2. This Improvement shall include clearing and
rradint7, construction of asphaltic concrete pavement consisting of
8 inch limerock base and 115 inch asnhaltic surface course, concrete
curb and r,utter, concrete valley gutter, concrete curb, construction
of It inch concrete sidewalk and 6 inch concrete sidewalks at drive-
ways, drainage facilities and landscaping of the side parkway as
specified and described in the Standard City f Miami Specifications
for Public Works rrojects.
Section This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedin-
:and assesments as S.W, 22 STREET HIGHWAY IMPROVEIENT - PHASE III -
p -441P and the property against which special assessments shall be
made for a portion of the cost thereof, hereunder shall be desivnated
as S,W, 27 STREET HinlIWAv IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - PHASE III - -L041°.

Rebuild side parkways with asphaltic concrete, 8' wide,
to be used as a parking area where off-street parking
facilities are insufficient. Parking lane is to be
bordered on one side by a concrete valley cutter with
an additional 11' of asphaltic concrete te transition ion area
into the exiting driving lane. On
f
the parking lane, a monolithic concrete curb shall be
constructed abutting the existing sidewalk. At loca-
tions where off-street parkin: facilities are sufficient
a landscaned parkway 10.5' wide shall be installed be-
tween the sidewalk and new concrete curb and gutter.
A storm drainage srstem will be provided. This, will be
an assessnLle i.mnrovement.
S.W. 22 Street (Coral Way) between S.W. 12 Avenue and
S.W. 22 Avenue.
REASON FOR WORK: The side parkways have deteriorated and a number of
small potholes have occurred. Drainage problems exist,
covering large areas. This improvement is in keeping
with the new redeveloFrent and landscaping of Coral 'ay
between F.W. 22 Avenue and S.W. 37 Avenue.
SOURCE OF FUNDS: Ilirhway 0.0. Fond Funds
