WHEREAS, the City of Miami is desirous of participating the Station Area Design process; and WHEREAS, the Dade County Office of Transportation Administration has indicated that they are desirous of contracting With the City of Miami to provide such planning services; and • WHEREAS, the City of Miami will be adequately compet. ated by the Dade County Office of Transportation Administration for all' services performed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF -THE: CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute a contract for the provision of planning services for station design of rapid transit stations to be located in the City of Miami, in general accord with the scope of services attached hereto. Fosmoen Director, Planning Department *srl�.�::suara. ;� L (I:1 July 194 1977 Proposed Contract with Metropolitan Dade County Office of Transportation Administration As part of the overall planning effort for the Rapid Transit System, the Office of Transportation Administration is proposing to contract with the City of Miami to provide services in the design and analysis of impact of each of the rapid transit stations to be located in the City of Miami. Given the severe time constraints under which the Office of Transportation Adminis- tration is operating; it is essential that we be prepared to act quickly once the Federal government approves the general concept of the Station Area Design approach. Dade County OTA is requesting that the City Commission authorize the City Manager to negotiate a contract for planning services in general accord with the attached scope of services. This item should be placed on the July 28, 1977, Commission agenda for action.
