FOR TAPING 2 JACKIE GLEASON TELEVISION SHOWS AT GUSMAN HALL DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, 1977; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR, AS FOLLOWS: $15,000 FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE FUND AND $5,000 FROM THE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS CODE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with PEEKSKILL ENTERPRISES, INC. for the taping of 2 JACKIE GLEASON TELEVISION SHOWS at Gusman Hall dur- ing the month of September, 1977, with funds therefor allocated as follows: $15,000 from the Communications Office Fund, and $5,000 from the International Relations Code, with the said agreement being attached hereto. That $15,000 be taken from the $55,000 that had been set aside for the establishment of the Communications Office, since this office will now need funding for only three months. That the remaining $10,000 be taken from the international relations code which is funded by the County as well as the City. By using this method of funding, it will not be necessary to put a strain on the 1977-78 budget. If this meets with your approval I will expedite the necessary transfer of funds. M-77-529) requesting the City Manager to investigate the possibility of taping two national Jackie Gleason television shows in September at Gusman Hall, an agreement has been reached with Peekskill Enterprises. Funding for this project has been set aside from the Department of Publicity and Tourism budget. It is agreed that the City of. `-tiami will pay Peekskill Enter- prises, Inc. the sum of $20,000 to help defray some of the out-of- pocket expenses for these television productions to originate in this arca. It is further agreed the City of Miami will provide, free of charge, the use of Gusman hall during the month of September, for the purpose of rehearsals and the taping of the shows. In consideration of this financial and physical facility support, Peekskill Enterprises, Inc. agrees to legally and properly identify the City of Miami and its environs, at appropriate times during the telecast. In consideration of the above, the City of Miami will pay to Peekskill Enterprises, Inc.
