AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 8589,
ADOPTED NOVSMBER 11, 1976, THE ANNUAL APPRO..

PROVIDING POR AN INCREASE 'OF $1,200,000 IN
CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS AND REVENUES TO REFLECT
THE PRESENCE OF $1,200,000 PREVIOUSLY APPROPRI-
ATED PROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS ?Ott THE
STREET LIGHTING PROGRAM; CONTAINING A REPEALER
PROVISION AND A SEVERASILVTY CLAUSE,
WHEREAS, ordinance No. 8587, adopted October 7, 1976,
appropriated $1,200,000 from the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for
the Street Lighting Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8589
on November 11, 1976 establishing revenues and appropriations for
the fiscal year 1976-77;
NOW, TiERE'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OP THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 1 of ordinance No. 8589, as amended, adopted
November 11, 1976, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for fiscal year

1976-77,is hereby further amended in the following particulars:`

Ordinance No. 8578, adopted October 7, 1976, appropriated $1,200,000
of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds for the Street Lighting Program.
i-Iowever, this amount was inadvertently omitted from the Annual Appro-
priations Ordinance (8589) for the current fiscal year. The attached
draft ordinance corrects this omission.
It is recommended that the attached proposed ordinance be presented
to the City Commission for adoption at the July 14, 1977 Commission
meeting.
