PI,SANI, filed a Claim against the City of Miami for personal
injuries incurred when she allegedly fell in a pothole while
crossing South Miami Avenue on or about May llth, 1976; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the Office'
of the City Attorney and said office recommends that this claim
be settled for the sum of $1,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT. RESOLVED B? THE COMMISSION OF. THE`.
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:.
Section I.; That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby authorized to pay to ISABEL PESANI and her attorney,
Herbert Weinsoff, without admission of liability, the sum of
$1,000.00 in full and complete settlement of all claims and
demands against the City of Miami, upon the execution of a re-
lease releasing the City of Miami from all claims and demands.

The following claim against the City has been
inVestigated by this Office:
PF5ANI, Isabel vs. CI'1'y OF MIAMI File # VC-76-120.
In this case a lady, approximately 56 years of age, by the
name of Mrs. Isabel Pesani, was visiting Miami from her
place of residence in Venezuela and was shopping in the
downtown area, with her friend from Miami she had been
visiting by the name of Ida Barcelo of 1867 N.W. 16th St.,
Miami, Florida. while crossing S.W. 1st Street, behind
Burdines from North to South, on the crosswalk heading West
on the southside of the street on S.W. 1st Street, they came
to the intersection of South Miami Avenue. As they were
crossing South Miami Avenue, the claimant stepped into a hole
approximately the size of a vehicle's hubcap. The claimant
immediately went down and had to be assisted to the curb by
a negro male and the ambulance then arrived together with the
Police Department.
The claimant and her friend, Mrs. Barcelo were taken to Jackson
Memorial Hospital Emergency Room where a sprained ankle and some
abdominal pain was noted.
Mrs, Pesani's husband, Dr. Dario Pesani, arrived in Miami from
Venezuela two (2) days later to return his wife to their home:

that Mrs.. Pesani was treated in Venezuela by her husband, who
as -I mentioned above, is a doctor and received ex -rays etc.:
backed up by bills submitted by Mr. Weinsoff.
