DAMAGE. EXPENSES AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI,
UPON EXECUTION OF A RELEASE, RELEASING THE CITY
OF MIAMI FROM ALL PROPERTY DAMAGE, CLAIMS; AND

WHEREAS, the above claim has been investigated by the
Torts Division of the City Attorney's office, in accordance with`
Ordinance No.'8417,Which creates, the City of Miami! s Self
nsurance Program, and said office recommends that the property
damage portion of this claim be settled for the sum of $1,562.45;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF.

Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to pay to Evidio Ruiz and Don Allen Chevrolet, Inc.,
without the admission of liability, the sum of $1,562.45 in full'.
and complete settlement of a property damage claim and demand
against the City of Miami, upon the execution of a release,
releasing the city of Miami from all property damage claims and
demands.

SVidib AUiz has filed a claim against the City of Miami, g
from an accident with a Police vehicle.
This accident occurred on May 17, 1977, at about 12:04 P.M., at or
near N.W.Sixth Street and Nell. First Avenue, Miami, Florida.
The W. First Avenue, at a stop
Police vehicle was northbound on N.
sign with N.W. Sixth Street, The Police Officer proceeded into
the through street, which is one-way westbound, as the claimant
vehicle approached the intersection. The front end of the claimant
vehicle made contact with the right center side of the Police
vehicle.
It would be advantageous at this

Theclaimant vehicle 'is'a 1977 Chevrolet MonteCarlo, which has
been repaired by Don Allen Chevrolet, Inc. for an amount of
$1, 562.45..
The above -mentioned property damage claim has been investigated
by the Torts Division of the City Attorney's office, and in
accordance with Ordinance No. 8417, which creates the City of
Miami's Self -Insurance Program, the said office recommends that
the said property damage claim be settled for a total amount of
$1,562.45.
