FINANCE TO PAY TO CHRISTINE MONTGOMERY AND
RICHARD B. BURKE, HER ATTORNEY, WITHOUT THE
ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE SUM OF $2,000.00
IN FULL AND COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF ALL BODILY
/NJ-URY, PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION LIENS, AND
WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION LIENS, CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI, AND UPON EXECUTION OF
A RELEASE, RELEASING THE CITY FROM ALL CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS.

WHEREAS, ChriStine-Montgomery, through her Attorney,
Richard B. Burke, filed a claim against the City of Miami for
alleged bodily injury, personal injury protection lien, and Work -
men s Compensation liens, resulting from an accident, involving a
City -owned vehicle on June 30, •1976, at or near. N.W. llth Avenue
and N.W. 56th Street, Miami, Florida;
WHEREAS, the above claim has been investigated by the
Torts Division of the City Attorney's office,
Ordinance No. 8417, which creates the City of
Insurance Program, and said office recommends
settled for the sum of $2,000.00 respectively;

authorized to pay to Christine Montgomery and Richard B, Burhe,
her Attorney, without the admission of liability, the sum of
$2,000.00 in full and complete settlement of all bodily injury,
personal injury protection liens, and Worhmen's Compensation liens,
claims and demands against the City of Miamif upon the execution

Miss Christine Montgomery has filed a claim against the City
of Miami, through her Attorney, Richard B. ture+ which includes
a bodily injury claim and the waiver of lien by Metropolitan
_
Dade County's Workmen's Compensation Self�:Inv,tr-nce Division.
This accident occurred on June 30, 1976, at or near N.W. llth
Avenue and N.W. 56th Street, Miami, Florida.

The City_ vehicle was westbound on N.W. 56th Terrace, approaching
intersection with N.W. llth Avenue, which has yield signs on each
side of the intersection, provided for east - west traffic. A
Metropolitan Dade County school bus parked on _e N.E. corner
fairly close to the sign. The City vehicle o_e_ator was not
overly familiar with the area and proceeded in�o the intersection
at about 20 to 25 miles per hour.
Brakes were applied and evasive action was tai; n;:however, not
enough to avoid a collision. The front left end of the City
unit made contact with the right rear quarter _anel;of the other
vehicle.
Christine Montgomery was a passenger in the claimant vehicle,
receiving multiple contusions, lacerations, abrasions, lumbo
sacral sprain, righthip contusion,
fibro-myo=i pis, and a contusion
of the right elbow, with right elbow sprain.
This individual lost three weeks work, which is verified.
A total medical expense was $910.50, while the lost time and
wage amounted to $172.50, or a total amount of special damages
of $1,083.00.
The claimant's bodily injury claim can be set:led for a total
of $2,500.00, of which Great American Insurance Company has
