To PREPARE PLANS AND DESIGNS FOR THE WAN!.
SIGN of EXISTING BUILDINGS AT EATON, MOORS,
AND SIiENAND0AH DAY CARE CENTERS TO COMPLY
WITH THE FIRE CODE STANDARDS AND TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL STORAGE SPACE, AND TO THEREAFTER
SUBMIT THE SAID PLANS AND DESIGNS TO THE CITY
COMMISSION FOR ITS REVIEW AND ACTION THEREON.
WHEREAS, on April 25, 1974, the City of Miami
adopted Resolution No, 74-340 which approved construction
for 3 Model Day Care Program facilities errected on 3 public
park sites within the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, upon formal inspections of the facilities,
it was determined that expansion of the centers is necessary
to meet fire code regulations to maintain the desired enroll-
ment; and
WHEREAS, additional storage space is needed to store
equipment which currently occupies space which could be more
effectively utilized for child development learning centers; and
WHEREAS, an estimate of the total construction costs
for all 3 facilities is approximately $150,000; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been provided in the
Day Care Program budget to meet the requirements for construction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED}D BYE THE CO S ON OF
THE `CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
ITEM
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
prepare plans and designs for the expansion of existing buildings
at Moore Day Care Center, 765 NW 36 Street; Eaton Day Care, 6015
NE 4 Court; and. Shenandoah Day Care, 1800 SW 21 Avenue, in order
to comply with fire code standards, and to provide additional
storage space and to thereafter submit the said plans and
designs to the City Commission for its review and action thereon,
PASSED AND ADOPTED this day of y�u�y 1977
