HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-77-0535RESOLUTION NO. 7 ...: ,A,RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE IN LIEU oI CONDEMNATION, A SINGLE tAMILY RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 36 NORTHEAST 59th STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE SUM OF FIFTY THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE ($53,525.00) DOLLARS, AND ALLOCATING FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND ($55,000,00) DOLLARS FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOP MENT FUNDS TO COVER THE COST OF ACQUISITION OF FEE SIMPLE TITLE TO THIS PROPERTY AND OTHER COSTS INCIDENTAL TO THE ACQUISITION. WHEREAS, the property located at 36 Northeast 59th Street, Florida, is proposed to be acquired for the development of a neighborhood park for the use of citizens in the Edison Center area; and WHEREAS, said residence contains 1164 square feet of living a roofed front port comprising 192 square feet, and a roofed and screened rear corner porch containing 156 square square feet; and WHEREAS, the Office of Community Development has approved feet, all totaling acquisition of this property to provide a neighborhood park in •Edison Center area, and concurs with the recommendation to acquire parcel and available with WHEREAS, the necessary monies for said acquisition are in the'second year funding of Community Development Projects; WHEREAS, this acquisition is being accomplished in accordance the Land Acquisition Policies under Community Development Programs, which include cost of relocation assistance, if required, as detailed in HUD handbook 1320.1, Real Property Acquisitions; and WHEREAS, the owner of the property has, by Agreement dated 2nd day of June, 1977, offered to convey fee simple title to property to the City of Miami, Florida, for the appraised price of Fifty., 'Thousand Five Hundred ($50,500,00) Dollars plus by Resolution No. 77-73; and WHEREAS, it is deemed in bonus, as authorized of Miami, Florida, to acquire the property at this time, through pure CJT^Y COMMISSION MEETING OF r.JUN211977 N Tan tI , tt tT goLvn T C Tttr 4 OP: Via; P Mkt, Section lb The City Manager be acid he is hereby ahthotited and directed t purchase the property located at 36 Northeast 59th Street,; Iiatii3 Florida 5 legally described as: tots 1, 2, 14 and 15, in Block 1, of BISCAYNE AVENUE TRACT, according to the Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 3, at Page 195, of the Public Records of bade County, Plorida, for the development of a neighborhood park for the use of citizens in the Edison Center area, for the sum of Fifty Three Thousand rive•Ilundted Twenty rive ($53,525.00) Dollars.
