A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE GRATITUDE
AND EC IA T ION OF THE MIAMI CITY
COMMISSION TO THOSE CITIZENS AND CITY
OFFICIALS WHO TRAVELED TO NEW YORk CITY
ON DUNE 13, 1977, TO REPRESENT THE CITY
OF MIAMI AT THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
OWNERS CONFERENCE WHERE MIAMI'S BID TO
BRING THE 1979 SUPER BOWL TO THE ORANGE
BOWL MEMORIAL STADIUM WAS SUCCESSFUL,
WHEREAS, Commissioner J. L. Plummer, bade Count
Mayor Steve Clark, Mr. Jessie Weiss and Mr, Lew Price traveled
to New York City or June 13, 1977: and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami's bid to host the 1979
Super Bowl at Miami's Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium was accepted
by the NFL Owners;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Commissioner J.'L. Plummer, Dade County
Mayor Steve Clark, Mr. Jessie Weiss and?1r. Lew Price, and all
those who successfully labored to bring the 1979. NFL Super Bowl
to the City of Miami's Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium, are hereby
commended and thanked for their efforts in achieving this impor-
tant goal.
