THEIR ATTORNEYS, WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF'
LIABILITY, THE SUM OF $2,663.33 IN FULL AND
COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF ALL BODILY INJURY CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE
EXECUTION OF A RELEASE, RELEASING THE CITY OF
MIAMI FROM ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS, AND TO PAY
TO TRAVELERS INSURANCE COMPANY, WITHOUT THE
ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE SUM OF $336.67 IN.
FULL AND COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF THEIR PERSONAL
INJURY PROTECTION LIEN, CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE EXECUTION
OF A RELEASE, RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM
ALL PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION LIEN, CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, Ramon Reyes and Maria Reyes, his wife, through
their Attorneys, Whitman, Wolfe and Gross, P.A. filed a claim
against the City of Miami for the alleged bodily injury and
Travelers Insurance Company filed a claim against the City of
Miami for an alleged personal injury protection lien, resulting
from an accident involving a City owned vehicle on January 21, 1976,.
at or near N.W. 24th Street and 19th Avenue, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the above claim has been investigated by the
Torts Division of the City Attorney's office in accordance with
Ordinance No. 8417, which creates the City of Miami's Self
Insurance Program, and said office recommends that these claims,
be settled for the sum of $2,663.33 and $336.67 respectively;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
TIE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
Section 1, That the Director of Finance is'hereby

the City of Miami, through their Attorneys, Whitman, Wolfe, and
Gross, involving bodily injury, and a personal injury protection
lien, resulting from an automobile accident involving a City of f
Miami. Sanitation crane.
This.accident occurred on'January .21,.1976) at about 7:45 A.M.,.
at or near N,W. 24th Street & l9th Avenue, Miami, Florida,
The crane was being operated from the rear seat and its driver;
had vision obstructed to the front of the unit. Upon trying to
cross the intersection from a stop sign, the front end of the
crane.' made contact with the left rear side of a vehicle proceeding
through the intersection. This vehicle had the "right-of-way."
Impact was such that
claimant vehicle.
Special damage material is as follows:
t made a constructive .total loss of the
Ramon L. Reyes lost no time from work; however, was treated by
Antonio Lamas, M.D., and Arnaldo Lopez, M.D. Medical information
from these doctors indicate acute cervical myositis, traumatic
myositis to the left trapezius area, acute dorsal and lumbar
sprain, osteo-arthritis of cervical, dorsal, and lumbo-sacral
spine strain, contusion of the left chest wall, and left elbow
with a:permanent partial disability. This would workout to
approximately five percent of the body as a whole.
