A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE IN
LIEU OP CONDEMNATION, SIX (6) VACANT LOTS, ONE LOT ZONED
FOR DUPLEX, FIVE LOTS BEING ZONED COMMERCIAL, LOCATED ON
THE WEST SIDE OF NORTHWEST SECOND AVENUE BETWEEN 52nd and
53rd STREETS, N. W. MIAMI, FLORIDA, AND ONE LOT LOCATED
ON 53rd STREET LYING 110.6'WEST OF NORTHWEST SECOND AVENUE,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, SAID VACANT LAND COMPRISED'OF 31,720.08 SQ.
FT., MORE OR LESS, FOR THE SUM OF FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED ($51.500.00) DOLLARS AND ALLOCATING FIFTY-THREE
THOUSAND ($53,000.00) DOLLARS FROM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
FUNDS TO COVER THE COST OF ACQUISITION OF FEE SIMPLE TITLE
TO THIS PROPERTY AND OTHER COSTS INCIDENTAL TO THE ACQUISI-
TION.
WHEREAS, the property located on the West side of Northwest Second
Avenue, between 52nd and 53rd Streets, N.W., Miami, Florida, and one lot
located on 53rd Street lying 110.6' West of Northwest Second Avenue, Miami,
Florida, said vacant land comprised of 31,720.08 sq. ft., more or less, is
proposed to be acquired for the development of a neighborhood park for the
citizens of the Buena Vista area; and 4
WHEREAS, the Office of Community Development has approved the
acquisition of this property to provide a neighborhood park, and concurs
with the recommendation to acquire this parcel; and
WHEREAS, the necessary monies for said acquisition are available in
the second year funding of Community Development Projects; and
WHEREAS, this acquisition is in accordanze with the Land Acquisi-
tion Policies under Community Development Programs, which include cost of
relocation assistance, if required, as detailed in HUD Handbook 1320.1, Real
Property Acquisitions; and
WHEREAS, the owner of the property has, by Agreement dated the
18th day of April, 1977, offered to convey fee simple title to this property
to the City of Miami, Florida, for the negotiated price of Fifty -One Thousand
Five Hundred ($51,500.00) Dollars; and

= AS, it is deemed in the best interests of the city of M3aili,
P1brida, to acquire the property at this time, through pufehase in lieu of
condetion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OP
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and

directed to purchase the property located on the West side of Northwest Second
Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets, N.W., and one lot located on 53rd Street
lying 110.6' West of Northwest Second Avenue, Miami, Florida, said vacant
land comprised of 31,720.08 sq. ft., more or less, and legally described as:
Lots 10, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, Block 16
Railway Shops 2nd Amended
PB 3 at PG 183, in accordance to the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida
for the development of a neighborhood park in the Buena Vista area, for the
sum of Fifty -One Thousand Five Hundred ($51,500.00) Dollars.
Section 2. The amount of Fifty -Three Thousand ($53,000.00) Dollars
be and it is hereby allocated from the second year Community Development
Funds to cover the cost of acquisition of fee simple title to this property
:and other costs incidental to this acquisition.
