A RESOLUTION AP.PROViNC IN PRINCIPLE THE PROPOSAL OY JTAR-ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX, INC., TO PROVIDE ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES TO STIMULATE THE USE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI'S PUBLIC FACILITIES BY DEVELOPMENT OF APPROPRIATE NEW EVENTS FOR PRE- SENTATION AT THOSE FACILITIES, AND AUTIIORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PREPARE A CONTRACT FOR SAID SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY AND STAR ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX, INC. FOR REVIEW AND ACTION THEREON BY THE CITY COMMISSION. WHEREAS, the City of Miami has advertised for proposals; to provide advertising and promotional activities that will stimulate use of the City of Miami's Public Facilities, and therefore increase City revenue from these facilities, by development of appropriate neW events for presentation at those facilities; and WHEREAS, the proposal from Star Entertainment Complex, Inc, was the only proposal received;and WHEREAS, this service, if finally requested after formal approval and acceptance, will be rendered at no cost to the City of Miami other than the 20% commission on the new income derived solely from new productions introduced by Star Entertainment Complex, Inc.,; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The proposal of Star Entertainment Complex, Inc. to provide advertising and promotional activities to stitr•ulate use of the City of Miami's Public Facilities and rherefore increase City revenue from these facilities by the development of appropriate new events for presentation at those facilities is hereby approved in principle. Section 2. . The City Manager is hereby authorized to prepare a contract for said services between the City and Star Entertainment Complex, Inc, for review and action thereon by the City Commission.
