oP AN EXPENDITURE OF AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000,000, PLUS INTERES`P,
FROM AD -VALOREM TAXES OVER A PERIOD NOT TO
EXCEED 25 YEARS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING
AND REBUILDING THE MIAMI ORANGE BOWL MEMORIAL
STADIUM AT ITS PRESENT SITE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE
A MAJOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL AND/OR BASEBALL STADIUM
AND ALL FACILITIES ATTENDANT THERETO.
$E IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OP THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIbA:
Section 1. The returns of the Special Straw Ballot
Referendum Election held on June 7, 1977 having been received from
the election officials of each of the voting precincts within the
City of Miami and the Commission having duly canvassed such returns
hereby declares:
(a)..

duly given in accordance with law and Resolution
No. 77-374B passed and adopted April 28, 1977 approving an expenditure
of an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $15,000,000, plus interest,
from ad valorem taxes over a period not to exceed 25 years, for the pur-
pose of improving and rebuilding the Miami Orange Bowl Memorial Stadium
at its present site in order to provide a major league football and/or
baseball stadium and all facilities attendant thereto.
(b) All steps in connection with the said Special.

had; and all applicable provisions of said resolution have been
complied with.

purpose of improving and rebuilding the Miami Orange
Bowl stadium at its present site in order to provide a
major league football and/or baseball stadium, and all
facilities attendant thereto, including but not limited
to acquisition of additional property and construction
of parking facilities and structures.
(e) Each qualified elector of the City of Miami was
the opportunity of voting for or against the question.
Section 2. It is hereby found and determined that 20076
Votes were cast by qualified electors in favor of the question;that

votes were cast by qualified electors against the ques•

tion; that the Commission hereby declares and certifies that the expendi-
ture of an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $15,000,000, plus
interest, from ad valorem taxes over a period not to exceed 25 years,
for the purpose of improving and rebuilding the Miami Orange Bowl Memorial
Stadium at its present site in order to provide a major league football
and/or baseball stadium and all facilities attendant thereto, was approved
by the qualified electors of the City of Miami at said Special Straw
Ballot Referendum Election; that the total number of ballots cast at
said Special Referendum Election in all voting precincts was 49,307
and that a majority of the votes cast in said election were cast in
approval of the aforesaid expenditure.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9TH day of June, 1977.
