The Department'. of Management Services has examined three options for funding the Building Department's request, The options , Are: (I) outright purchase; (2) lease purchase; and (3) acquisition of radios that the Police Department'. is planning to replace, and purchase of related equip- inent. The Police radios will become available because that department plans to replace four -channel radios' with eight -channel radios. Over a : seven-year period, the length of time in 'which a lease purchase. would be completed, we have .found.that Option, No. 3 -acquisition of Police Department' radios and thepurchase of support equipment - would be the least expensive. Arlene Purtic, a 39 year old waitress, tripped and fell on a cracked sidewalk located neat the 600 bloCk of Northeast 27th Street, Miami, Florida, This sidewalk is With- • in the Public Right of Way and is owned and maintained by the City of Miami. There was an eyewitness to this slip and fall. The attorney for Mrs. Purtic, Mr. Langberg has submitted medical and specials in the amount of $1,003.00 and his total demand was for $6,50o,0o.
