A RESOLUTION GRANTING,PERMISSION TO CONSTRICT
ANb_oPERATE A POST OFFICE, IN ACCORDANCE QIN
ARTI==E XXI-2, SECTION 3, OF ORDINANCE NO.
THE COMPREHENSIVE TONING ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, ON LOTS 1 THROUGH 20,
BLOCK 66N, MIAMI NORTH (B-41), BEING APPROXI-
MATELY 500-540 N.W. 2ND AVENUE, ZONED C-2
(COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL), C-4 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL)
AND R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE), PROPOSED TO
BE REZONED TO GU (GOVERNMENTAL USE); SUBJECT TO
LATER APPROVAL BY THE PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD
AND THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE WALL OR FENCE AND
THE LANDSCAPING SURROUNDING THE PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board at its
f May 4, 1977, Itefi No. 2(b), following an advertised
Hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB 27-77by a 6 to 0 vote (2
members absent) recommending permission to construct and operate,
post office as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it advisable and
in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami
and its inhabitants to grant permission to construct and operate a
Post Office as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Permission to construct and operate a
Post Office, in accordance with Article XXI-2, Section 3, of.
Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Miami, on Lots 1 through 20, Block 66N, Miami North (B-41),
being approximately 500-540 N.W. 2nd Avenue, Zoned C-2 (Community
Commercial), C-4 (General Commercial) and R-4 (Medium Density
Multiple), proposed to be rezoned to GU (Governmental Use);
subject to later approval by the Planning Advisory Board and the
City Commission of the wall or fence and the landscaping surrounding
the property, be and same is hereby granted.

The Miami Planning Advisory Board, at its meeting of May 4, 1977,
Item #2(b), following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
PAB 27-77 by a ' to 0 vote recommending permission to construct and
operate a Post Office, per Ord. 6871, ARTICLE XXI-2, Section 3(1-2),
on approximately 500-540 N.W. 2nd Avenue, Lots 1 thru 20, Block 66N;
MIAMI NORTH (B-41), zoned C-2 (Community Commercial), C-4 (General
Commercial) and R-4 (Medium Density Multiple), proposed to be rezoned
to GU (Governmental Use); subject to later approval by the Planning
Advisory Board of the wall or fence surrounding the property.
Three objectors to the wall or fence were present at the meeting.
Two objections in the mail regarding the wall or fence.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Governmental Use has been prepared
by the City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of
the City Commission.
