AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 390.24 CM THE
CODE OP THE CITY OP MIAMI, FLORIDA, IN ITS
ENTIRETY; PROVIDING FOR PARKING CHARGES POR
VEHICLES ON CITY -OWNED PARKING LOTS DURING
EVENTS HELD AT TH1 MIAMI ORANGE BOWL STADIUM,;
FURTHER REQUIRING THE SALES TAX AMOUNT RE
SHOWN AND PRINTED SEPARATELY ON EACH
PARKING TICKET; FURTHER ESTABLISHING THAT
NO COMPLIMENTARY PARKING TICKETS WILL BE
ISSUED; t'URTHER ESTABLISHING THAT NOTHING
IN THIS SECTION SHALL PROHIBIT THE PARKING
OP CARS OP OFFICIALS ANb EMPLOYEES WHOSE
PRESENCE MAY BE REQUIRED POR THE PROPER
OPERATION OP STADIUM EVENTS; FURTHER
ESTABLISHING THAT OTHER THAN THE AREA AT
THE MARINE 'STADIUM DESIGNATED POR USE BY
SELF-CONTAINED CAMPER -TRAILERS, NO OVERNIGHT
PARKING IS PERMITTED ON CITY -OWNED PARKING
LOTS; ALSO RESERVING NG UNTO THt COMMISSION

RELIGIOUS OR CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AT
EVENTS WHERE NO ADMISSION IS CHARGED;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS
OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT, INSOFAR AS
THEY ARE IN CONFLICT; ANb CONTAINING A
SEVERABILITY PROVISION.
WHEREAS, the City desires to improve the efficiency
of the sale of parking spaces during events held at the Orange
Bowl; and
WHEREAS, it is felt that an increase from $2 to $3
for per event parking at all events other than high school football
and soccer is in the best interest of the City; and
WHEREAS, the possession of a seasonal parking privilege
represents an added value of at least $I per game to the holder
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the average number of college football games
in any one season is 6 and the average number of professional
football games is 10; and
WHEREAS, offering separate seasonal reserved parking
privileges for professional and college football events is in the
best interest of the public and the Citys

8eetinn 1 Section 39»24 of the Code of the City of
Miami, Florida, as amended, is hereby further amended in its
entirety to read as follows*
°See, 29-24 Parking Charges.
(a) Season passes for parking at the Orange Bowl
stadium reserved parking area may be secured by the
payment of the following fees:
(1) $4O, including state sales tax, per
passenger car, for the use of a reserved
parking space for prescheduled exhibition
and regular season National Football League
(NFL) profeasional football events..
(2) $24, including state sales tax, per passen-
ger car, for the use of a reserved parking
space for prescheduled University of Miami
regular season football events.
(3) $50, including state sales tax, per recreation
vehicle, for the use of a reserved parking
space for prescheduled exhibition and regular
season NFL professional football events.
(4) $30, including state sales tax, per recreation
vehicle, for the use of .a reserved parking
space for prescheduled University of Miami
regular season football events.
(b) Per event parking charges shall be as follows:
(1) For NFL professional football, college football,
professional soccer, and college soccer events,
$3, including state sales tax, per passenger
car, per event, for parking on all City -owned
parking lots.
(2) For high school football and high school
soccer events, 500, including state
sales tax, per passenger car, per event, for
parking on all city -owned parking lots.
(3) For all other events, other than football and
soccer, charge is to be $3, including state
sales tax, per passenger car, per event.
(4) For all events, the charge per bus shall be $5
per event, including state sales tax, at
specified city -owned parking lots.
(5) The per event charge for recreational vehicles
shall be $5, including state Gales tax, on
specified city -owned parking lots.
(c) No complimentary parking tickets will be issued.
Nothing in this section shall be construed, however, as
prohibiting the parking of cars of officials and employees
whose presence may be required for the proper operation of
stadium events. Further, nothing in this section shall

parking fr religious or charitable organitationS
at events whore no admission is charged.
(d) Other than the area at the Marine Stadium designated
for use by self-contained campariatrailers, no overnight
parking is permitted on city -owned parking lots
(e) All passes, tickets and receipts shall be fully
itemized, showing the amount of the charge and the amount
of the sales tax."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the pro-
visions of this Ordinance are hereby r pealed.
Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph,
clause, phrase, or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid the
remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
