• La Universidad de Miami esta solicitando un cash match de la
Ciudad y del Condaclo de $5,000 cada uno. Nos aseguraremos
de que la Ciudad este alio reciba el merecido reconocimiento
por su patrocinto a esta etnpresa.

The Re -Encuentro_Cubano, which the University of Miami sponsored last year,
•was so successful that we are now actively planning another Re-Encuentro
for this year. We invite the enthusiastiation from yOu and the
City of Miami.
The University has received •indication that the National Endowment for the
Arts will finance part of the cost of the program. I have asked
• Professor Felipe J. Prestamo, Associate Dean of the School of Engineering
and Environmental Design, to coordinate the efforts of the various faculty
and staff members of the University of Miami who will be working in this
interdisciplinary program. Professor Prestamo will be happy to work with
you or with whomever you suggest in coordinating as well the participation
of the City of Miami in the program.
I am highly enthusiastic that this year's event will be as successful as
last years. We earnestly seek assistance from the City of Miami in this
important civic endeavor. Professor Prestamo and I will be happy to talk
with you about the details of the second Re-Encuentro.
All of us here are looking forward to working with the City of Miami in
assuring the success of this year's Re-Encuentro.

Last year 'the city of Miami 'cooperated actively
with the University of; Miami, the .National Endowment,
for.`. the .'Arts::and. the Miamian Community in: the 'Success-
ful development of the program by allocating $5,000 and
providing staff support to different events.
