AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION 2
OP SECTION 39.13.1 OP THE CODE OP THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, POR THE PURPOSE
OP REVISING THE AMOUNT CHARGED POR CITY
OP MIAMI C0LP COURSE GREEN PEES; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS OR PAR.'S
THEREOF IN CONFLICT, INSOFAR AS THEY ARE
IN CONFLICT; AND CONTAINING A SEVERAgILITY
PROVISION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OP THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Subsection 2 of Section 39-13.1 of the
Code of the City of Miami, ?lorida, as amended, is hereby further

amended in the following particulars:
"Sec. 39-13.1 Golf course green fees and other
rates and chalges .

2. Special summer rates for combined green fee
and cart rental: The following special summer rates for
combined green fee and cart rental (residents and nonresidents
of the city). These rates are not subject to the additional golf
cart tax otherwise required by section 39-13.2.
Summer months (May 1 -- November 30)
Monday thru Friday: For two players—$19 $11 + sales
tax to cover cart rentir and
green fees.
Saturday, Sunday and holidays after 12:O0 Noon:
For two players--$39 $11 + sales
tax to cover cart renter and green
fees."

Section 2. All ordinances, code sections or parts
thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in conflict,
are hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any section, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this ordinance is for any reason held or declared to be
unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding or invalidity
shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance/ and
it shall be construed to have been the intent of the City Commissic
to pass this ordinance without such unconstitutional, invalid or
inoperative part there n; and the remainder of this ordinart,
after the exclusion of such part or parts shall be deemed and
held to be valid as if such parts had not been included therein.

The program was so successfulthat we increased the
golf cart use by 5,146 rentals at Melreese Coif Course,
from May "1 to"Novet`nber'30; 1976 The program at
Miami Springs was also 'successful, with 1, 839 more carts:
being used duringthis period.
Since these reduced rates have increased golf course
revenues, -we'would .;like to offer these" special rates this
summers The bepartient of parks and Recreation
recommends the adoption of the attached Resolution for
a Special Summer,;Rateof $11.00`for 'carts and;'greens fees.
