A RESOLUTION FORMALLY receiving THE
OCTOEER, 1976 REPORT OF THE FLORIDA
ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE UNITED
STATES COMMISSION ON CIVIL RIGHTS
ENTITLED, "POLICED BY THE WHITE MALE
MINORITY", DEALING WITH THE STATUS OF
POLICE -COMMUNITY RELATIONS IN THE CITY
OF MIAMI AND METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY#
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Report of the Florida Advisory
Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights
entitled "POLICED BY THE WHITE MALE MINORITY"was person-
ally presented to the City commission in October, 1976;
WHEREAS, the said Report dealt with the status
of Police -Community Relations in the City of Miami and
Metropolitan Dade County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, no subsequent formal action was ever
taken by this Commission other than the receipt and distribu-
tion of the said Report within and throughout the City's
dministration; and
WHEREAS, adoption of the herein Resolution will
formalize the position of the City with respect to its con-
tinuing and on -going Affirmative Action Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
