MENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION AT A TOTAL COST OF $8,950600
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE BAYFRONT PARK BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT X
FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY (MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS MATERIAL
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids wets received

mulch for the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to thirteen potentialsupplier
and five
bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available
Park Beautification Project X Fund; and
WHEREAS, this material will be used by the Department
and Recreation for the purpose of conforming to the architectural'
ign and the elimination of the growth of weeds; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks and Recrea-
recommend that the bid received from Wendell Butler Supply be
`accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City;

NJW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY 0
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The January 31, 1977 bid of Wendell Butler Supply
for furnishing 1,000 cubic yards of cypress mulch at a total cost
of $8,950.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby allocated from the.
Bayfront Park Beautification Project X Fund.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct
the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Order for this material.'
AND ADOPTED this 23TIH day of APRIL 1977.

Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received
January 31, 1977 for furnishing 1,000 cubic yards of
cypress mulch for the Department of Parks and Recrea-
tion,
InVitatiohs were mailed to thirteen potential suppliers
and five bids were received as follows:

Florida Silica Sand Co. $13,980.00
Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from the
Bayfront Park Beautification Project X Fund.
The cypress mulch will be used at Bayfront Park to
conform to the architectural design and also will
eliminate the growth of weeds.
It is requested that the award be made and a resolu-
tion be prepared accepting the most advantageous bid
as received from Wendell Butler Supply for furnishing
1,000 cubic yards of cypress mulch for the Department
of Parks and Recreation at a total cost of $6,950.00.
The Department of Parks and Recreation concurs with
this recommendation.
