It was like- wise recommended that the City not consider such a facility -a t Marine Stadium, Miami Stadiutn or the Dinner Key complex since virtually the same condtltuns exist at all the facilities. The Planning Department located a number of bileb that might be considered as potential and future locations as follows; t) Biscayne Annex Post Office site, (8. 8 acres) located at NW 2lst Streit and 22nd Avenue, witch could be redeveloped ur partially redeveloped once the Post Office facility is moved the latter part of this year. 2) Stabaat :1 Coastline Railroad Passenger Station (5 acres) located at NW 22nd and 23rd Streets and NW 70k Avenue. This bile will be available in approximately 18 months once the new depot is constructed. 3) Shell City site, (7.2 acres) located at 5801 NW 7th Avenue. NcLosUnes: 1 have discussed the possibility of the State of Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles utilizing space at the Orange Bowl, for a drivers license office and a driving test area, with Mr. C. B. Highsmith, Regional Supervisor. Mr. Highsmith indicated that they would require six to seven thousand square feet to construct an office building, plus a large area in a paved parking lot to set up a portable driving course. The drivers license division is a five days a week, year around operation and t•,ould obviously conflict with certain Orange Bowl events and further add to our shortage of parking spaces. It ismy recommendation that the City not consider offering space to the State of Florida for their licensing office at the Orange Bowl, Miami Stadium, Marine Stadium or the Dinner Key Auditorium, since virtually the same conditions stated above exist at all of the facilities.
