Boards and Committees, I have drafted three proposed documents for your approval. and possible discussion by the Commission. The first docu.~Ient is a statement of policy to be adopted by the Com= mission. This liolcy will he an appropriate addition to our recently .authorized Co;;Imission Policy ;•ianual and will bring about much better communication and information concerning our boards and committees. Yt will provide a clearly uridcrstoodj routinized method of selecting new or replace;;ient mem'aers for various existing anc: to=be-created corrrnittees~ The Cit=j ~.~ill have on file complete infox:;taton .concerning all. nominees ar:d ap-ointlrents, and the Commission will be able to ma}:e better nfozrled clecisicns concerning them. It will en- able the J~dmilzi.:~tration to Veep current records, receive reports, and to provide necessary assistance for the various comrtittees. The third document is an example of thG t;+pe of format to be used whan creating new board, or committc~~:s.
